Akrim
Anyone been using these paints from the GW line? I picked up some, used a bit of water to thin but the base is incredibly chunky and the layer (Deepkin) leaves a very streaky finish. Primer is Mechanicus grey. Very unhappy with it - anyone have a similar experience or solution/trick? Razblood
Might be a bad batch, but GW are pretty bad at whites and pale greys. Try thinning them with medium rather than water, it may help. Verux
Have to agree that the GW whites and pale greys are notorious for going bad quickly. I have 4 or 5 unopened paints that are likely trash after a few months. Gstealer
I saw a trick that use gloss medium (I used future floor polish) to thin the whites and greys to remove the chalkiness. I tried it and it worked really well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/353713-ionrach-skin-deepkin-flesh/#findComment-5256956 Share on other sites
Verux
Anymore details you could add or just thin with future? Not being snarky at all just curious. I would love to save these paint pots and I am assuming so would the OP. Magos Takatus
I can confirm that my Pallid Wych flesh and Rakarth Flesh did the same. I bought new pots but kept the old ones in case I need them for something. They might be okay for drybrushing for example. Halandaar
Yeah I think this is pretty common among the whites and greys, Pallid Wych Flesh often goes chunky for me after not too long.
