WickedJester1013
Was noticing that I don’t see much daemon representation when I look for online resources such as forums or YouTube videos or hobby stores. I was wondering what people’s thoughts are about them from people who play them, are they weak? Strong? Fun? Then what do you think daemons are strong at and what are they weak at. Also what makes them fun to play for you. Personally I love the character of the army and the eternal evil idea, plus badass monsters. Don’t get to play much is why I ask. Also I’m taking about mono factions Daemons or a blend of gods. Trollbeard
I play mono nurgle demons, with the occasional khorne DP thrown in for good fun, and I really like them!! My opponents always have a look of despair on their faces as my stinking horde shrugs off horrendous amounts of fire power, while advancing forward to eat them!! They can be a tough horde army, if you play nurgle, the other gods are more fragile, but people obviously have success with any god. Unless you play tzeentch, they have almost no shooting, and the shooting they do have is pretty ineffective IMO. Hope this answers some of your questions! Gederas
Yeah, it all depends. Are you playing mono-god or mixed?Mono-god: Nurgle is the best in terms of survivability. Khorne and Slaanesh are roughly equal in terms of being the best melee (Slaanesh is faster, Khorne hits harder). Tzeentch brings ALL the psychics and shooting. I've had some success with my Khorne Daemons, but I can definitely say they're a glass cannon army and you NEED to make sure your first two turns are good, otherwise you're going to have a hard time winning. But if you get first turn, make it count. Mixed Daemons are where they really shine, as each God covers the other's weaknesses. The army is definitely a horde army. No ifs, ands or buts about it. WickedJester1013
Well it could be said that i would play mono nurgle, but that is only because i only own 10 daemonettes, 10 bloodletters, and the tzeentch chariot from other gods lol. It was more of a pondering about the status of daemons these days. I really dont get to play much with school and my slave drive of a calculus teacher so i figured id toss the questions out to the wrap. I am interesting in picking up some more daemons or more genestealer cult dudes. currently from nurgle I own, Great unclean one/rotigus, daemon prince(could say 2 daemons princes with my deathguard one as well) The plague bearer that rides the slug(forgot name) 2 basic nurgle heralds, 1 of the scrivener 5 of the fly riders 3 beasts 9 nurgling bases 45 plague bearers 1 of the special nurgle trees khorne daemons, 10 blood letters, 1 basic herald slaanesh 10 daemonettes, tzeentch exalted flamer the herald on the chariot So the bulk is nurgle, and I know id like some more plaguebearers, but besides that maybe some flamers or horrors. Besides that im not sure what else to add. That new daemon box set looks good and I like the idea of a beauty and the beast kind army with the gross nurgle holding done the core and slaanesh for power.
