Pearson73
I really like the use of yellow on these guys, the warm tone stops it from clashing with the metals, but it still stands out and draws the eye. You've really nailed that dirty metal look too. I would say that those plasma cannons could do with an extra highlight and maybe some glow effect? Skidman
Thanks for the advice. I’m actually looking up how to improve my painting of the plasma energy to try and get a better blended effect than what shows through in the pictures. Thank you again for the critiques, I’m always trying to improve Pearson73 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354173-hh-iron-warriors-15th-grand-battalion/page/2/#findComment-5693252 Share on other sites
Pearson73
I think most folk go for lots of thin glazes paired with increasingly fine highlights. I've recently tried drybrushing the effect instead (the coils were too fine for my highlighting skills), it worked pretty well and was a simple way too add some basic OSL too.
