Marshlands
I'm confused about what the current rule is for putting stuff in reserve, am I right in: 50% of unit count has to deploy on table 50% of points have to deploy on table No restriction on power level now? What about if I save some reinforcement points? E.g. I have 200 reinforcement points in a 2k list so only 1800 points in my army list, do I have to deploy 900 or 1000? I guess the same if my 2k list is say 4 points under do i need to deploy 998 or 1000? Any help greatly appreciated! Panzer
The points you save for reinforcements still count towards your army. So the answer to your two examples is 1000 and 998 respectively. Dam13n
Points values currently* mean nothing when it comes to determining reserves. It's the number of units that matters. Say I have 15 units in my 2000pt army. I must deploy at least 8 of those units at the start of the game (at least 50%) and may place up to 7 in reserve (no more than 50%). I could deploy all 15 at the start if I wanted as that would still be at least 50%. If I had 16 units it would be at least 8 and no more than 8 respectively, and so on. Reinforcements aren't counted as they aren't units, they're left over points than can be used during the game in various ways depending on the army being played. * Points only come into play with the Beta rule for Tactical reserves, which is not (yet) official and really should be discussed in the Beta Rules sub-forum, not here.
