TrawlingCleaner
I'm starting a WIP log here to hopefully motivate myself to keep painting and keep plugging away at the mountain of models I have to paint. I've managed for the last 2 weeks to be able to get in about 30 minutes of painting nearly everyday and my plan is to keep up that steam. My friends and I are currently running through a narrative driven campaign and this is easily helping me continue, as I've had problems with keeping motivated before as I'm sure lots of other people have but I'm on a roll currently. There's still lots to tidy up on a lot of stuff but I'm definitely getting there, C&C welcome. Will post more up to date and WIP pictures when I get home tonight IMG_20190207_175253 IMG_20190207_175301 IMG_20190207_175310 IMG_20190207_175324 IMG_20190207_175334 IMG_20190207_175442 IMG_20190207_175417 IMG_20190207_175540 IMG_20190207_175600 IMG_20190207_175756 IMG_20190207_180231 IMG_20190207_180501 IMG_20190207_180548 IMG_20190207_180635 IMG_20190207_180753 IMG_20190207_180828 IMG_20190207_180904 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354230-my-cult-so-far-a-wip-log-to-motivate-myself-hopefully/ Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
Great progress! I wish I could get that many figures done before the motivation started to slip. TrawlingCleaner
Great progress! I wish I could get that many figures done before the motivation started to slip. If I can do it, you can too. Honestly, trying to get 30 minutes in a day or every other day really does help and having a mall backlog would probably help too but I've never experienced that Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354230-my-cult-so-far-a-wip-log-to-motivate-myself-hopefully/#findComment-5266493 Share on other sites
Michaelum
Love the heavy weapons teams, how did you make the morters? Man, this is fine work. PD: maybe add some lights on the paint Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354230-my-cult-so-far-a-wip-log-to-motivate-myself-hopefully/#findComment-5266611 Share on other sites

PD: maybe add some lights on the paint Thanks man, much appreciated. They're from Anvil industries and they're great kits really easy to magnetise. What do you mean with the lights on the paint? Michaelum
Probably its the dark style you are going for, the skin of the primaris psyker, some lighter tones to give more depth. Dosjetka
Solid start, TrawlingCleaner! Does your Cult have a name? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354230-my-cult-so-far-a-wip-log-to-motivate-myself-hopefully/#findComment-5266869 Share on other sites
TrawlingCleaner
Solid start, TrawlingCleaner! Does your Cult have a name? Thanks man! My mates and I are currently doing a narrative based escalation league and we've all named our chapters/characters. They're called "The Descendants of the Void", the Abominant is called "The Patron saint of the meek" as he was once just a little neophyte taken to his physical limits by the "Void King" (Hive Mind). The Magus is "Arch Magus Mordecai", he's the brains of the cult and killed a Custodes Shield captain in CQB by himself and is basically my back line anti charge deterrent at 750 points or less (Even though he really shouldn't be) I haven't named anything else just yet. Work on the Patriarch so far: IMG_20190301_200109 IMG_20190301_200134 Needs work (removing the left over sprue bits) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354230-my-cult-so-far-a-wip-log-to-motivate-myself-hopefully/#findComment-5266956 Share on other sites
brother_b
These are great. I'm also going dark grey, and probably a spot color of orange. It's just ease of painting and I have a nice grey undercoat. Anyway, your models looks amazing. They're very organic. Great job.
