Redrandy93
Brothers, It has been many months since I last painted some Ultra marines ( about 15). I noticed my newest pot of Macraggee Blue is darker than one i have from 18 months ago. I also did a spot on one of my Rhinos i have been building and partially painted a long time ago and it is very noticeable the difference in color. The newer pot came out very dark. it looks like what used to be known as Moridian blue. Note i always base paint my stuff black first. Did GW change how dark Macragge Blue is? If this belongs on a different forum please move it. Appreciate an answer and any help on this. Dosjetka
The best thing would be to e-mail GW customer service with pictures of the colour difference (i.e. of the spot you painted on your Rhino) and ask them if this is normal. This is assuming that you shook your paint pot before using it. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354292-did-gw-change-how-dark-macragge-blue-is/#findComment-5268683 Share on other sites
Redrandy93
Thanks for suggestion. First i will stir the paint pot alot more. Then test paint a figure over black base coat. I have feeling I did not stir it enough. Curious thing happened today. I went to shop I buy my paint from in Mineola Long island and they no longer carry GW products except for paints as the area no one is playing any more. I was surprised. That leaves me with either going into the GW store in Manhattan or on line buying. I liked supporting local store.
