Warsmith Uveron
Hey all. So, I am giving some thoughts to trying to set up a gaming event in the late summer for Adeptus Titanicus. Mostly as the local gaming conventions are not running AT events, and I personalty think a good event helps the hobby grow and keep interest in it. So before I start talking on facebook about it, I though I would turn to this form to see what folks would want to see in an event if they were to attended something. Currently my thought is for a 2.5 day event. Starts Friday evening with some open play gaming and casual socialising. Saturday Day: Running a more strutured event from 10 to 6ish. Saturday Night: No Clue, but something smaller and more relaxed. Sunday Day: Finishing up the structured event from 10ish to 3ish? My gut tells me to run a small narrative campaign over the actual events and then maybe a single titan mega battle in Saturday Night. (Everyone gets one Titan and plays a huge multiplayer game. Thoughts suggestions? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354309-adeptus-titanicus-gaming-event/ Share on other sites

Warsmith Uveron
Location? Oh my one would be in Oklahoma, USA. but let me flesh out the intial post. I kinda want to theory craft the idea of the shape of any AT event. I mean the basics of the 2day 40K event is quite tied down and internationaly simmilar. But its not a format I think that works with AT. So the question is what should a successful AT event look like? Blood and skulls
I’m UK based so I’m out lol. I think the format you have described sounds good. Some friendly games, maybe in teams of two to get people to interact even more and some beers. That may start to build a community. Then a day of competitive play with a mini league style. Then finish off with a mega game. One Titan each sounds good or say 500 points per player or something similar to stop everyone taking warlords. I would go to that if i was in the area. Please note though I have no idea what tournaments and/or events actully look like. What would you do about terrain? Warsmith Uveron
What would you do about terrain? Thats the big issue. My gut reaction is to use the AOS system that was pushed a few years ago with requiring folk to bring some as part of their army. And then add in some extra if budgets works out. Blood and skulls
I think that’s fair. If you could attach a receipt or if people get their name on their own terrain to avoid confusion with the Civitas imperialism sets that everybody brings. Stickers under the base are a great trick for that type of thing, and a photo log.
