Possessed alternate idea.

Recommended Posts

Given that I don't believe we will be getting new models for the current plastic Possessed kit and daemons are getting a kind of new life within the Chaos Marine army. As such I have an idea:

I have seen several conversions for Possessed using the Primaris intercessors as a base, swapping head, backpack, shoulder pads, and of course arms with the current possessed kits parts and often warp talons / raptor parts mixed in. This makes for quite an attractive model that has the stature of what you would expect for a 2 wound marine and may look the part, shave off the Aquila or desecrate it as needs must and it creates a good unit.

Thoughts on this? am I misjudging the regular possessed models?  To me they always looked like strange "Saturday morning cartoon" monster figures and after seeing both Gal Vorbak and the Greater Possessed I think that the regular possessed just look so much worse.

Anyone else have alternative regular possessed conversion ideas? Or is the above idea a good enough one for the purpose? (thinking of doing 10-20 more then likely)

I can definitely recommend bashing Primaris, though I may be biased...

Alternatively, Stormcast can be used for a more gladatorial look:

With the current Possessed kit, I would say it's a trove of bits, but as models, they're too goofy. This could be largely down to the heads. I'm considering a full repose of the legs from the kit (dissecting the joints and connecting with wire) to make some 'lesser' warriors, as there is some nice detail on the sculpts.

So the chap with wings, I just shaved off the detail and attached some (im)purity seals, the other was again shaved and then given a press-mould chaos star and then glued the two horns on. I've got some others in progress where I've replaced the front half of the torso with a Possessed torso front, a little cutting is needed and either putty or some bits to cover up the join.
