HighMarshalAmp
Would you accept that? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354492-double-bolters-as-almost-wysiwyg-storm-bolter/ Share on other sites
Mobius0288
I don't see why not, maybe throw a chainsword off his belt/leg for pure WYSIWYG. And it looks pretty cool. I just saw a model like this off a mini-wargaming bat rep. N1SB
Yes, especially if you posed the Marine cool. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354492-double-bolters-as-almost-wysiwyg-storm-bolter/#findComment-5275110 Share on other sites
Wassa
Yes, as long as no other model has double bolters and actually has 2 bolters... Syward
Personally I'd have no trouble with it (as long as you didn't try to split fire from a single model between multiple targets ) , but I'm not a competitive/tournament player either. I'd also be totally fine with you telling me "This unit is modeled with bolters, but they count as Storm Bolters" as long as you told me at the beginning of the game. I really don't see why anyone would have any issue with it as no unit can legally (AFAIK) dual wield bolters, so there shouldn't be any issue getting it confused with another unit or difficutlty remembering how they're armed. Besides, it's essentially all a storm bolter is anyway, 2 bolters synced together. ONDIG
Yeah you can dual wield Bltrs! I personally worry less about wysiwyg (GW B DAMNED) and more about the rule of cool. As long as i can discern what a unit is meant to represent i see no need for it to have the actual components. I mean ive seen guys use Steeds of Slanesh as DEjetbikes and others use troops on velociraptors as Tallarn Ruffriders . Jolemai
I'd be happy with that but then, these are my combi-weapons which were made for the previous edition (when the special part was one-shot): Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354492-double-bolters-as-almost-wysiwyg-storm-bolter/#findComment-5275150 Share on other sites
UnkyHamHam
I'd be happy with that but then, these are my combi-weapons which were made for the previous edition (when the special part was one-shot): I did the same thing back in 4th Ed when my ASM Sarge could carry a combi-weapon. He dual wielded a boltgun and hand flamer for a counts as combi-flamer.
