Dark Bjoern
I´m using Martian Ironearth. The craters are painted with Tuskgor Fur, which matches up very well with the Ironearth. Dry drushing with Squig Orange for smoother transition. RipOffProductions
Amazing work recreating the Wall Of Martyrs' trench-lines and bunker terrain.(hopefully if GW ever reintroduces infantry to AT and recreates Epic, these won't be to badly out of scale) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354601-legio-astorum-walks/page/2/#findComment-5293377 Share on other sites
Chaeron
Bases look brilliant - superb addition of the trenches with that lovely contrast to the red earth! Gamma310
Now I wish I had built something like this for the bases for my Titans. Maybee I'll change a few of my bases over to this Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354601-legio-astorum-walks/page/2/#findComment-5294015 Share on other sites
Gillyfish
That's a relaly nice approach to the bases and a fantastic contrast of the earth with the colours of the titans too. Do you have any infantry models you can add to enhance the overall effect? Dark Bjoern
Not many. Some loose SM but i would prefer IG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354601-legio-astorum-walks/page/2/#findComment-5294077 Share on other sites
Gillyfish
Have you considered using Napoleonics to represent the Guard? The over-fancy uniforms might work quite well. If you want to look at some options you could try Baccus who do a range of historical 6mm infantry (including casualties). Achinadav
Bases look great. Have you thought about weathering the trenches a little to make them look like they’ve been there a while? DuskRaider
Ugh... those trenchs are perfect. We're they 3D printed? Edit: nevermind, I see you built them from plasticard. Amazing! schoon
Inspired work on the bases. You might want to consider pressing the titan's feet into the basework before it sets completely to give a feel for the mass sinking into the ground. RipOffProductions
Maybe use a Tartaros terminator with heavy weapon and fist as a contemptor dread? that would be way to big for a contemptor, Terminators are about the size of AT scale Knights.
