Kill Team tokens

As some of you may have seen, I'm working on tokens themed to the various factions/sub-factions of the game setting. I've developed preliminary tokens for the various Astra Militarum regiments, by world. Before I finalize these tokens and make them available for download, I'd like some feedback from Astra Militarum players. You can see the current versions here.

Just want to say thank you very much for your dedication and efforts to make these.

 

Armageddon looks a little dark along with Elysia. Have you tried a White, or Off White? Maybe Silver?

I'm not worried about "dark" so much as "contrast." In the case of the Armageddon, there is the dark (black) border around a less dark (brown) icon/number, so there isn't a lot of contrast. With the Elyssian tokens, though, there is strong contrast between the dark icon/number and the light border.

 

Granted, the Astra Militarum provide a lot of room to maneuver because their colors aren't as set as other factions - different regiments from the same world can have different color schemes. So while these preliminary schemes have followed a (relatively) strict translation of colors based on certain images, those images aren't definitive and the tokens can deviate in terms of colors to provide better contrast. I think that the key is getting a token background color that is evocative of the world, then adjusting the colors of the icons/numbers and borders to remain as broadly faithful as possible to the common image of the world's regiments while providing strong contrast.

 

Short answer ... I'll play around with them.

Ack! It's been over a year since I worked on these. I must do penance. Here's what happened last night. I'd like to finalize these Really Soon ^TM so that I can turn them into files that you can download and print for use in your games of Kill Team.

I adjusted these by moving the commander laurel to the front. There were also a few whose colors were unsatisfactory. In these cases, I generally removed the third color. I haven't begun working on the Militarum Tempestus yet.
