Hantheman
Hey all Looking for some advise. I'm having trouble finding a good way of magnetising landspeeder/skimmer bases for a magnet case + magnetising the stem and model. I know there's Magnet baron but it's VERY expensive (especially with postage to UK) and I'm sure there's a DIY approach. Has anyone done it, if so how? Tichinde
would the rotation magnets for xwing miniatures work? or is the landspeeder to heavy? e.g: http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/rotation-magnets-n52/427-rotation-magnets-size-s.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354682-magnetising-landspeeder-bases/#findComment-5280171 Share on other sites

The next step is find a base that can be magnetised so it'll stick on a magna rack. The other problem is skimmer stems are pretty flimsy and I'm not sure they'll take a magnet ball Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354682-magnetising-landspeeder-bases/#findComment-5280489 Share on other sites
Aspecti
I stuck a lump of green stuff on the skimmer stem, put a 2x5mm neodymium disc magnet on it and glued another magnet under the Land Speeder. They've lasted well since 6th edition, the magnets are strong enough that I can hold them upside down. ShinyRhino
I use these on my Landspeeders. They're awesome. http://www.back2base-ix.com/mac-flight-stands-4-large-60mm.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/354682-magnetising-landspeeder-bases/#findComment-5283707 Share on other sites
