9x19 Parabellum
Hi: I can't seem to find this in rulebook. Exactly what parts of a model are used for determining line of sight to and from a model, and where exactly is this found? Thanks. Wassa
Any part. As described on the page with the Shooting Phase. See here: https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/40k/warhammer_40000_en.pdf 2. Choose Targets Having chosen a shooting unit, you must pick the target unit, or units, for the attacks. In order to target an enemy unit, a model from that unit must be within the Range of the weapon being used (as listed on its profile) and be visible to the shooting model. If unsure, stoop down and get a look from behind the shooting model to see if any part of the target is visible. For the purposes of determining visibility, a model can see through other models in its own unit. 9x19 Parabellum
Thanks. Yeah I thought somewhere there was a FAQ or errata or something where it went into greater detail, like banners, feathers, antenna and minor stuff like that not being eligible when determingin LOS. Wassa
It should be the models body parts, or vehicle chassis, but the rules state any part. I purposely don't have swords sticking up in the air as it will bite you in the ass when your opponent claims he can see a it sticking out from terrain. I also don't put Antennae or lights on top of vehicles, or have the crew sat in the vehicle hatch, unless they are Tank Commanders. It's a shame but otherwise you're just screwing yourself when you're playing with non-friendly players.
