Descent of Angels

Legion

Battle for the Abyss

Mechanicum

Tales of Heresy

There were never previous hardbacks for these, right? I recall Laurie Goulding spending a tremendous amount of time reworking Descent of Angels to fix continuity errors, and then nothing seemed to happen to them.

Though until they're in trade paperback I'll still be bitter about it.

They were put out in HB a few years ago but in a limited print run that disappeared quickly.

I bought decent of angles and legion, stupid really as I only have the hardbacks from the first of the normal hardback releases. Would love to buy them all but there’s just no point, so many of them are terrible. Justified these two because decent of angles is a stand alone book I remember loving at the time and legion because it’s just an awesome book I want to reread

Hail

I am thinking of getting Descent of Angels as hardback; yes I already own the MMPB version, but 1) I am a sucker for all things Dark Angel, 2) I remember the book as being pretty darn awesome and 3) it is NOT written by Mr. Gav Thorpe.

So - that said - the illustrations in it: are they any good and do they bring anything worthwhile to it?

Faithfully,

Master Ciaphas

The illustrations in Descent of Angels are a portait of Zahariel and Nemiel as initiates, a knight fighting the Beast of Endriago, assault marines descending from the sky, and a portrait of the Lion. They're not bad.
