Razorback weapon turret help ...

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

For a long time I've seen plenty of third party Razorback weapons, twin-linked assault cannon, the lascannon & plasma gun weapon turret, twin-linked heavy flamer weapons turret, etc.

But as per the rules it looks like the only Razorback options are twin-linked heavy bolters, lascannons, or assault cannons correct?

Did there used to be rules for the other types in previous editions of 40k? Or is it just wishful thinking?

Thanks.

Index Imperium 1 has the options.

The current one in the Codex is the one that comes IN THE KIT, the other ones are from Forge World.

As per the above. There were many options for turrets, be precisely because 3rd parties were manufacturing models that GW did not manufacture themselves, they've been relegated to legacy rules in the index.

Still perfectly legal, however.

Good ol' GW being GW .... lol.

Which is silly, as it is the opposite of other, similar rules, like the Vindicator Laser Destroyer's overcharge, which just causes 3 mortal wounds.

There's no way that a plasma gun overcharging on a turret, should do more damage than an over charging, hull-mounted laser volley cannon!

Or more damage than a Volcano Cannon (unlikely, but possible).

Clearly the Imperium needs to start an arms trade in plasma guns. All their enemies will overcharge to get one shot kills on the Primaris and destroy their own vehicles.
