MeltaRange Posted April 4, 2019 Share Posted April 4, 2019 Hi, Has anyone been able to get an elite, Terminator/VV-based army to work? (in a moderately competitive environment) With the points drop in CA2018, and the introduction of the Vanguard Marines - who I think synergize well with a reserve based hammer - I was hoping to give it a go. The basics of the list I'm envisioning is using Infiltrators/Phobos Captain and all their tricks to deploy in a way that tries to hem the opponent in their DZ for a disastrous Turn 2 charge involving a lot of buffed up THs & PFs, plus the whole lot of usual stratagems and support characters/powers. Then the combination of many, many SSs, Nathecium, and the BoS try and keep my units alive from the any counterattack. As I begin the journey of building/painting more models and playtesting the army, just curious if anyone else has been playing anything similar and has some thoughts/advice they'd like to share.
