New Puppets War Head

A few years ago I bought some Puppets War heads and they were not to scale of the normal Space Marines, which was disappointing as they have a real good range of heads.

I posted a pic in another thread about head sizes:

Heads

The first 2 on the left being Puppets War.

So I saw they had created new heads that were claiming to be 32mm scale, so I was excited, but I then checked on the old ones and they now claimed to be 32mm, so I was less excited, but I though ok lets go for it and yeah they are the right size now:

PW Heads 1

1st head is the old size, then 2 of the new size and finally a Primaris head for comparison.

You can see how tiny the old heads were in this shot:

PW Heads 2

So conclusion the new ones are spot on, a bit pricey as you only get 5 heads per set, so I went for Barbarians, Mohawks and Cossacks.

I think I have a baggie full of the old heads from a while back and was disappointed as well. Had some plans to make some Kaerls/Huskaerls using them and some guardsmen/scion bodies but have not had the chance or motivation to. Good to see these updated ones are a better fit.

I am at a decision point here. I got the new Spartan/Hoplite helmets - reiver and normal. The size is very close to the original helmets, but is slightly less "robust" looking than some other helmets I have - they are a bit thinner. I REALLY want to use them as they have, now, 8 different options for fielding - both bare, and both have 3 choices of crest that can be used (normal, transverse, and the paladin).

Post some pics with the different heads - I find it helps when you compare the pics and also others can chip in with pros and cons. :-)
