Bonzi
Just thought I would post some pics of my current painting progress for my Vostroyans. Comments and suggestions welcome. Demolisher tank I finished some time ago. Recently finished the Basilisk unofficially dubbed 'Tiny Tim's Crutch'. WarriorFish
Colours are excellent, the additional details and freehand completes them - fine work as always! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355100-vostroyan-wip/#findComment-5292021 Share on other sites
duz_
Love the colours very striking! What ones did you use? Â What's next :D Some Valks painted like that would look awesome! Bonzi
Base primer is zandri dust, over coated with ushabti airbrushing, then corners and joint areas are lightly hit with a grey airbrush. All rivets, corners, and lines are traced out with Sepia wash. Balthazar gold, lead belchers, and wazdakka red are the detail colors. Sepia washed on the gold and nulin oil on the lead belchers. Â I have a Chimera, a Wyvern, and a Vulture I'd like to tackle next. The Mad Hermit
Looks amazing so far! Â Great work that you can be proud of for sure. Â Love the color combination, too. Bonzi
Got the Chimera done. A little less clean on the lettering and numbering but I've learned that the more I mess with the lines the more gummed up things get so I'm gonna be happy with what I've got and move forward. I've got two more Chimeras to get it right on anyway lol. I have a lot of infantry completed too but I'm having some formatting issues so those will wait for tomorrow. Bonzi
And a whole bunch more pictures. Finally got a nice cloudy morning for some good lighting on the infantry models. This is pretty much everything I've got painted to date for my Vostroyans. Working on an Armored Sentinel and a Wyvern now. Bonzi
That's the Wyvern finished off. I've meet the painting goal I set for myself a month ago. I may dig deep and try to finish off an Armored Sentinel I have started but after that it's time to switch gears and finish off my last 20 or so models for my Gloomspite Gobblins. That should freshen me back up to tackle my Vulture. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355100-vostroyan-wip/#findComment-5295155 Share on other sites

Bjorn Firewalker
Good job on the Wyvern. Did you magnetize the mortars so you can convert the vehicle into a Hydra, in case your Regiment needs Air Defense? Bonzi
I never put the actual mortar barrel tips on the guns so the Hydra barrels will dryfit into the guns. I still need to paint up the barrels for the hydra, but when I do I'm good to go on either hydra or wyvern. Bonzi
A bonus Armored Sentinel! This guy was already mostly done so I went ahead and finished him. Really happy with the basing on this one. Simple but it's a solid contrast for the model. Was going for frozen industrial ash waste. Bonzi
That's one Taurox down. I think I'm hitting painting burnout though so this might be the last for a bit. I have the Vulture and another Russ prepped but they might have to sit in the back burner for a time. This last push has seen me finish painting just about half of my armor and infantry that I have to do so I'm pleased with that. Someday I may even have a fully painted army, after all it's only been 10+ years since I started the hobby lol.
