dice4thedicegod
Maybe I’m missing something but the khornate warlord traits seem far worse than the other gods. I find ,self thinking that the best thing for my khornate daemon warlord will just be the basic rulebooks +1 attack if I charged. The ones in the daemons codex are underwhelming to say the least (but just for Khorne. The other gods have some decent ones). Anyone have any luck using the one in the codex? MasterDeath
Well, what do you want the Warlord Trait to do? Oblivious to pain on a Bloodthirster is solid and Rage Incarnate on a Herold as well. (saves the DP) If you want more killyness, well I assume +1 A on condition is the best you get. I would love to have some Buff-Auras on my Nurgle Warlord. Cheex
Oblivious to Pain on a Bloodthirster is a no-brainer. Rage Incarnate on anything other than a Daemon Prince is good, and Immense Power is hilarious on a BT of Insensate Rage. dice4thedicegod
I wasn’t keen on Oblivious to Pain because I distrust putting my faith in rolling sixes. If the dice are hot I’m sure it’s nice... but a bit of a waste on a poor to average rolling game I would have thought? Panzer
I consider traits like Oblivious to Pain a waste as well. Rolling 6s is just not reliable and so much worse than a 5+++. Then again the Khorne WTs really are pretty meh so might as well go with that one and pray to Slaanesh for 6s. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355131-khorne-daemon-warlord-traits/#findComment-5292835 Share on other sites
Cheex
It's not so much that you're relying on 6s, it's more that in an "average rolling game" you're essentially giving the model 17% more wounds. I can't tell you the number of times an extra wound here or there has saved my models. Panzer
But to get those extra wounds you are relying on 6s. Sure sometimes it helps but I can't tell you how many games I've played where a 6+ FnP was literally useless because it either didn't trigger or because my unit took more than enough damage to get killed anyway.
