Cordova
So, as the name suggests, I am endeavouring to build a Nurgle army. I acquired a few painted dudes from a friend, which I have now touched up. With a few additions of my own, I now have enough models to make an army, but as I have been staunchly loyalist my entire time in this game (with the odd foray in Xenos action), I am a bit at a loss. I am not looking for competitive and I don't really want to buy too much more (at all) but I don't mind converting etc. So, that said, here is what I have. Any ideas would help... This first part is pretty much decided: 3 Nurgle Daemon princes. (I'm happy with these) 2 X Death Guard sorcerers (also happy) 15 Death Guard (3 five man squads, so happy) I then have 21 old-style nurgley dudes with 4x plasma and 2x meltagun. I thought about a Purge Host Raptorial, for the locust vibe, but they are all bolter armed. I then thought how about havoc's, with some converting... Any ideas?? Any help would be appreciated as I slide inorexably towards full heresy... El_Dicko
I’m using my old metal plague marines as the purge, and two squads of raptors. Then I’ll run the new plague marines as just plague marines or if need be can throw them in a death guard detachment. Maulerfiend with be Purge as well since he can’t go in a death guard detachment. There’s a good thread on synergy over in the death guard forum if you haven’t checked that out! Cordova
Make sure if you want to be fluffy you do things in numbers of 7 after all that is papa nurgle favorite number I had the old-marines in 3 groups of 7 for this reason. The only reason that the Death Guard aren't is that I only have 15, which is either two 7-man squads or the 3 5-man, which rounds out a Battalion. Yeah, it's my old metal ones that I'm struggling with how to use, I don't really want regular marines, as they aren't the most useful, and with limited (to none) purchasing, I was trying to think of an efficient way of running them.
