I'm pretty sure my story is a familiar one these days- I was deep into 40k when I was a youngster, back in 3rd edition when 40k was at its very grimmest and darkest. I was a terrible painter and barely understood the rules, but it was the coolest thing ever as far as I was concerned. However, like many of you, I'm sure, I reached a certain age... And found myself led astray by the temptations of Slaanesh, shall we say I've been watching from a distance, of course, and the love for Warhammer (in both flavours) and it's lore has never really left over the years. I started up collecting again in earnest around about this time last year. I was going through some tough times, and painting my dudes has proved an invaluable form of meditation. The Emperor really does protect, it seems! So, here I am, after amassing a considerable collection. I'm going to be posting up a thread or two about some of the kitbashing/conversion projects I'm starting to sink my teeth into, showing off my work so far, and maybe even try learn a thing or two to get me back into playing the game.
