Signus campaign length

So, in order to win you have to control the enemy base by defeating armies there three times and kill kabanda/sanguinius no less than four times. Since each of those can only be taken one per phase, how many pahses would you play and with how many games? I'm thinking eight phases with one game each

 

It's a bit absurd really, one side needs to win five games without losing a single one in order to win, and the random roles of attacker and defender make uncertain that in 10 games one side will get to attack 5 times, so if you don't roll good you can tie up even after having won all battles in the campaign.
