Making LotD an actual viable army

Hey everyone. Hypothetically speaking, if someone was to make a small army of legion of the damned how could it viably be done? I know that in the space marine dex there is already an actual entry for LotD but that isn’t viable as an army. So which codex and rules could be used to make a small army of these undead warriors?

I would say that it's a tie up between Iron Hands or Raven Guard when it comes to Chapter Tactics that best resemble the fluff.

On the one hand you have the IH FnP save to represent their fluffy durability and the axe relic gives a nifty close combat addition.

On the other you have the RG minus to hit modifier to represent their ghostly appearance on the battlefield. The RG warlord trait also fits this from its description as the LotD appear in the midst of battle out of nowhere and never speak. It's a shame SftS got changed as that would have reflected this aspect pretty well too. The only downside to RG would be that their relic jump pack is unfluffy as I can't think of a time when I've heard of LotD jump pack marines.

Are LotD in the marine codex? I thought they were index only at this point.

They are Index only, you are correct.

What did SftS get changed to then?

It's now a 9 inch move rather than an infiltration deployment.
