Idea for 3k ruinstorm daemons "nurgle"

 

Lord (nagash)

Greater daemons (mortarch mount)×2

Lesser daemons (nighthaunt 32mm mix) x20

Shrikes (morgahst) ×3

Leviathans (terrorghiest) x3

 

Got a list with that comes out to 3k on the nose. Would only need to rebase mortarchs from 120 oval to 130. And terrogheists from 130 to 170x105 should still fit.

 

Creeping Scourge

 

Daemon Lord of the Ruinstorm 380

- Flying monstrous creature

- mastery level 5

- warp-scaled hide

- miasma of rot

 

Ruinstorm Greater Daemon 250 ×2

- mastery level 2

- warp-scaled hide

- daemonic wings

 

5 Ruinstorm Lesser Daemons 125 ×4

- warp-scaled hide

- daemonic wings

- flensing talons

 

Ruinstorm Daemon Shrike 185 ×3

- warp-scaled hide

- rift barb

 

Ruinstorm Daemon Behemoth 355 ×3

- warp-scaled hide

- rift barb

- miasma of rot

 

 

Its definetly still spammy and no archdaemon this time but should be pretty hardy with the iwnd/fnp and should be pretty decent at securing table sides if I spread my rifts out.

 

 

For 4k adding

 

Archdaemon 900 (unsure of model some conversion)

- flying monstrous creature

- font of the warp

- lord of chaos

- warp-forged plate

 

And 4 mastery levels to the lord for a total of 9 (he goes to 480 cost)

Not sure the rift barb is worth it on the behemoth with its 6inch move especially with creeping scourge, you will probably put your warp rift quite far away. Ephemeral terror can be considered to get some charge through covers...

What do you think would be more useful than a barb for the behemoths they'll struggle to make it to melee as well so it's not like they get a lot out of anything but survivability and for some reason arent allowed to take grenades. But I'm up for suggestions it just feels the army has pitiful shooting I honestly think I should just play aggressive as a ranged battle is just how resilient I am vs how long does it take for me to get wiped. The lord is really the only damage as shrikes with guns still wont kill rhinos which is ridiculous.

 

I originally had grenades on the lord over miasma its probably the better choice. I wish my lords could fit grenades as well but with only 3 upgrades I dont know what I'd drop for them. My infantry can trade shred for grenades though they honestly are mostly there to be hard to remove with 2w 3+/5++ and t5->4 and maybe reroll invul if near a rift I dont expect them to achieve much.

 

My aim was definetly a monster mash though so I have achieved that but some upgrades like the miasma for sure can change same with leviathan and infantry load outs.

Sure but don't aim for rhinos with the shrike better try to cripple walkers or tank ms with the damage chart. Plus the main advantage of the barb is armorbane so you are already in a good spot to pen with lower strght (7/8) is on stats good enough for the upgrade if you have higher strength it's a bit overkill. So maybe some defensive trait like the shroud or the blood...

 

I think I'd rather have rending on lesser daemon compare to shred.

I did consider rending for the troops but with flight and armour thats like 27 points a troop but its doable if I drop the rift barbs I guess.

 

And yeah I mean shrikes are for killing sicarans and vindicators it's just a bit ridiculous that they are forced to be hp strippers because they cant get an exploded.
