Brother Clavero
I would like to add some aquarium plants to my jungle bases but don't like the plastic sheen look that they have. My question is, if I were to paint them, would they need to be sanded or otherwise prepared so the paint will stick to them? Thanks! binary
Clean them with a degreaser and hot water. That’ll remove the shiny wax coating. Then spray them with primer and paint your colour of choice. Toomanyprojects
A light rub with sandpaper will also do no harm in terms of giving the primer a ‘key’. But beware of the flexibility of those plants - the paint could simply crack at the points where the plastic structure is bending Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355436-painting-aquarium-plants/#findComment-5299951 Share on other sites
