Brother Ambroz
I’m trying to find out what the best type of glue would be that would be “stringy”? I’m trying to do something similar to this (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/185069865922156560/). The glues that I have tried are gorilla super glue, hobbytown thick glue, DAP rapid fluse and ZAP CA. Anyone have any experience with this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355476-stringy-glue/ Share on other sites
MegaVolt87
That looks easier to achieve with a mixed epoxy/ resin than a traditional glue. Is it just for display? I don't see stringy effect holding up for regular tabletop play. Brother Ambroz
Yeah just display. Does that mixture come as a brand? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355476-stringy-glue/#findComment-5300645 Share on other sites
MegaVolt87
Never tried it myself, I just know that's what gets used for water effects etc on larger miniatures. Someone will be able to tell you more I am sure. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355476-stringy-glue/#findComment-5300647 Share on other sites
Imren
There is a (german?) brand of glue called UHU, I've seen on youtube people using that for slime string effects. Check that out. Arkhanist
Seconding UHU, that's what this golden demon winner uses in his walkthrough. He does recommend some experimentation first before using on a painted model. Magos Takatus
You could try the glue from a hot glue gun perhaps? You could glue a blob to the model's base, stretch it and then cut it off and trim it to size. Brother Ambroz
Hot glue gun eh? Could look into that. Arkhanist
The UHU is the all-purpose one - yellow squeezy tube, black nozzle. Example on ebay. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355476-stringy-glue/#findComment-5300938 Share on other sites
