Captain Coolpants
Unsure if this is the correct place to post this. But I've seen someone's work online, and they've made some grey knights paladins stand out a little more with alternative shoulder pads. I believe that they are cataphractii. But i cannot find the exact ones with the buckles at the ends of both layers. I'll link the original work here http://www.coolminiornot.com/308860 If anyone knows please update me! Ch@oZ
They ring a bell, but can't seem to put my finger on it... thought they were anvil industires or maxmini. Found something quite close: https://maxmini.eu/conversion-bits/shoulder-pads-pauldrons/large-shoulder-pads Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355577-help-trying-to-find-out-what-parts-these-are/#findComment-5303388 Share on other sites
Captain Coolpants
They are certainly close enough! Thanks so much! Seems my friend says they're anvil industries, but nowhere to be found on their site. Arkhanist
Closest I've found are pop goes the monkey: Anvil used to do a lot more choices in the exo-lord section (and pads similar do ring a bell) but they've pulled most of them and are focused on the regiments stuff for the time being so the originals may be OOP. Xenith
Those are 3rd party maximini cataphractii -alike pads. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355577-help-trying-to-find-out-what-parts-these-are/#findComment-5303438 Share on other sites
Stoic Raptor
At first glance, they reminded me of something Menoth from Warmachine. Surreal Cruelty
I think those are actually Chapterhouse Studio cataphracti shoulder pads. That picture is old enough that the painter could have gotten them while Chapterhouse was still in business. The maxmini ones look better though. Naryn
Those are definitely Chapterhouse pads; I remember eyeing them before the Forgeworld terminator bits took off. In fact, I found some very similar Chapterhouse ones in my bits box the other day, although these have the leather straps hanging down that you see on other Cataphractii-style pauldrons. I’d be happy to gift them to you if you like; I don’t have any use for them.
