Sigislash: Our Slamganius

So working on my latest list, I have two parallel questions:

1) Overlapping auras; If one goes full Power Sigislash (Teeth/WT) what do you do? Run a second Marshall? Or run a Castallen with only 3A weapon?

2) Do you run full power Sigislash or prefer Hammer Slash?

The relationship to all this; is do we bother to run Castellans? And if you do, you rather full power Sigislash or having a Castallen reasonably able to fight?

Are you avoiding named characters? If not, why not just run Helbrecht and get another +1S plus the full reroll aura for anyone else nearby?

I haven't tried configuring castellans since Vigilus- they don't get the SWORD BRETHREN keyword I believe and I've pretty much stayed single detachment with my list-building.

I thought we settled this.

He's called Marshal Law.

Anywho, last time I took a Teeth and Trait Marshal and a second Marshal with the Helm and the Chapter Master upgrade.

I would even now think about a second WL trait and adding Storm of Fire, now the buff ranges match.

Depends on what you want him to hunt, if Im not mistaken ToT is better vs infantry while a hammer destroys vehicles. If points allow I would run a Castellan with a thunder hammer or power fist, we dont have the +1 to wound but with the Castellan you dont need to always spend CP every time you get in combat. If you are using the Sword Bro detachment for your HQs I would do something like

Marshall Law, Shield Eternal, Thunder Hammer, Jump Pack

Castellan for morale support, Jump Pack and Storm Shield, maybe a Power Fist, Thunder Hammer if you got the points and Lighting Claws arent bad

Marshall Law jr, same as the first one but generic equipment unless you want more relics

So in case you lose one Marshall the second can keep going and with the Castellan you can spend CP on one and the other isnt too far behind, our smash captains arent as CP intensive as BAs and the characters are fairly cheap so depending on the list you lose nothing by running two and honestly characters are some of our best units, Nanavati convinced me that SM are essentialy a character driven force and you can make them pretty nasty with our detachment.

I thought it was Sigismash for the hammer version, Sigislash for the Teeth version and Marshal Law as a generic catch-all?

Anyhow, combining the Shield Eternal with a Bike gives you a noticably better survivability between the extra wound and better toughness synergising well with the Shield's half-damage rule. With the reversion of the Fly rule in the April FAQ though, a Jump Pack once again lets you jump over screens.
