How are you planning on doing the spears and dual blades on the rest of the unit? thanks, for the red I prime mephiston red, wash with army painter purple shade, then dry brush and highlight with wild rider red. as for the power blades, I really like the sanguinary guard poses so I'm going with a variable power setting, so some blades will be how I've done the axe, and some will have a different color.
