Token
Does Chapter Approved 2018 contain all errata, or whatever it is called? Please excuse grammar, spelling mistakes and such. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355811-chapter-approved/ Share on other sites
Dam13n
It won't include anything from the latest batches of Errata and FAQs, but will include the changes from all Errata and FAQs before it itself was released. Token
Ah, thanks. So if there is a CA from earlier, that is not needed? Please excuse grammar, spelling mistakes and such. Dr_Ruminahui
It depends what you are looking for. For the most part, errata is in the FAQs. What does change from CA to CA so far is the modified point costs, and the 2018 point costs changes also contain the 2017 changes. So, if you are just looking for the revised point costs, you just need the most recent CA. However, if that is all you are looking for, I would recommend using the BattleScribe army builder program instead. There are other things in the CAs which are also useful, and which may or may not be carried over from one to the next. For example, both 2017 and 2018 contain rules for different types of terrain - I would assume the 2018 terrain rules are an update of the 2017 rules (with perhaps a few more terrain types) but I can't say for sure if there is terrain in the 2017 CA that isn't in the 2018 CA, as I haven't compared them. And there are things that are only in a particular CA. For example, 2017 has missions which aren't in the 2018 CA. So if those interest you, pick up whichever book has the stuff you want.
