Tau gun drone technology heresy?

Been thinking of putting a combi melta on a floating drone, "carried" by a scout biker sergeant. Would using a Tau drone be heresy?

The Imperium has antigrav technology, any ideas for a small Imperial one?

A Tau drone would most certainly be heresy. Is there anything wrong with using a servo-skull? There are examples of servo-skulls with guns, after all.

Jokes aside - gun drones are Abominable Intelligences (AI), and therefore extremely heretical. There are gun-wielding servo skulls, but servo skulls are obviously not soulless machines because there are still some human bitz in there. And they (as well as most servitors) are dumb as a rock following pre-programmed patterns. If you convert the equivalent of a gun drone that does not look Tau, and includes a skull (or servitor head), it would not be an issue.

How about an "upgraded servo-skull", that includes the torso as well, to include the amount of gravitic engines required to carry a combi-melta?

Would like to have a small skull, that rides on the back of a scout bikers sergeants bike, perhaps on a chain. Think that a skull and torso would be too big.

How big are the skulls in GW's Citadel Skulls box?

Same size as the skulls of their Skeleton models, they look like they'd actually fit inside a models head.

Servo skull with an inferno pistol attached as its weapon. Should be an alright scale that way if you incorporate the skull's hover tech into the gun itself.
