KGatch113
Which works out better? Larger squads are more durable, but you can lose the last few guys to morale. Smaller squads can actually last longer, more targets which cheapens the enemy's shooting, but they do die faster to mass shooting and give up points faster in a tournament game.... Marshal van Trapp
I've been running either 6 or 10 man squads, the 6 gets a PG and a Combi plasma while the 10man gets a second plasma. If 10 man I run them in rhinos, if 6 I tend to throw them on backfield objectives Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355887-5-man-or-10-man-grey-hunters/#findComment-5311793 Share on other sites
spacepup
I usually run them in units of 6 in an razorback with twin assault cannons. Some packs have plasma gun, some have melta for me. Rune Priest Jbickb
I think MSU's are the better choice for me these days. I tend to go for 3 5 or 6 mam squads in a razorback to fill out my troops. Then a second batt with 3 intercessors for back field hold Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355887-5-man-or-10-man-grey-hunters/#findComment-5311936 Share on other sites
Karhedron
I normally run both. 2 MSU packs in AssCannon RBs and a big 10-man squad packed to the gills with plasma. I am also working on a couple of 5-man Intercessor packs to see how they work. My Blood Angel Intercessors have been doing good work for me so I decided the Sons of Russ needed some reinforcements. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355887-5-man-or-10-man-grey-hunters/#findComment-5313529 Share on other sites
UniWolf
Really it depends on who I am playing the guy I usually play against loves an armour heavy armour ork list. So I'll run a 10 man unit loaded with plasma, use the cunning of the wolf stratagem, then I will hammer and anvil the target with WG in term with TH/SS. It's expensive but very effective, especially if there are a blob of armour that I can multi charge. Obviously this is risky, but I enjoy the look on his face when 11 TH attacks hit.
