Glute
Does Unyielding Ancient grant saves for all wounds (normal + inv saves)? What about Mortal wounds? FallenSoldiers
You can roll the 6+ for any wounds it takes, mortals included Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355889-venerable-dreadnaught-unyielding-ancient-question/#findComment-5312774 Share on other sites
Glute
You can roll the 6+ for any wounds it takes, mortals included Ok. per BRB - Mortal Wounds state you can't make a saving throw. While I would like to be able to use Unyielding Ancient for mortal wounds - RAW tells me you can't. While I would like to be able to use Unyielding Ancient for mortal wounds - RAW tells me you can't. FNP rolls aren't considered saving throws though I'm pretty sure. Saving throws occur before damage rolls, hence why FNP rolls don't get affected by rules such as, +1 to saving rolls, since you make those rolls after the damage. This also means they are not restricted against mortal wounds either. Panzer
That's right. Saving throws are armour saves and invulnerable saves. FnP is a special rule that prevents damage (not whole wounds) AFTER you've failed your saving throws (including not being able to make one). FallenSoldiers
These folks have it. It’s ability is to ignore wounds, doesn’t matter the type or where they came from. If you take 6 dmg from a melta gun you roll 6 dice. Say you get 2 6s, then you take 4 dmg instead of 6. Glute
Does this include mortal wounds from Perils of the Warp? I ask this because the other day I periled on double 6 and my opponent played the Daemonic Possession stratagem to roll 2D3 vs D3 for damage. Number of wounds was 4. So do I roll 4 dice hoping for 6's to ignore these? Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355889-venerable-dreadnaught-unyielding-ancient-question/#findComment-5314270 Share on other sites
