Sanguinary Guard

I'm a long-time collector of Blood Angels and I was stunned when I realized that the Book 8: Malevolence didn't have rules for fielding Sanguinary Guard. I've heard a claim that it should be represented as a Legion Command Squad, which kind of makes sense. Any ideas how to equip the unit to be as close to angelus pattern boltguns and other wargear used by the squad?

Power weapons and jump packs. Angelus can count as pistols and the bolters they come with.

Yupp, pretty much so.

They are fearless, have more attacks, artificer armour, can have a variety of power weapons, can have jump packs and have bolt pistols, ccw and Boltguns. I don't see which essential Sanguinary Guard part is missing.

I get the confusion though. But FW is known for erasing stereotypes from 40k out of their fluff which is a good thing in my book.

Out of (heresy-era historical) curiosity: Did they have Angelus Boltguns back then ?

Good question. I would assume so, but could be wrong.

40k Sanguinary Guard all model Thier equipment and wargear on Azkellion's loadout during the Heresy, so the Angelus boltgun could well have been a unique wargear of his.
