Competitive List Tweaks

So rather than make a list of what I want to use, I have some questions about things post FAQ that I might be doing wrong... I'm a bit rusty with my... errr rusty army.

The premise is to use house Taranis Knights (I know, not the most competitive House) and just have the Armigers and Preceptor play as the front line to GSC and armies like that.

The thing I'm trying to figure out is if I use a CP to extend the use of Canticles to the Knights, then when firing overwatch in that turn would the Knights be able to reroll 1's?

Same goes for Cawl. I'm trying to build a firewall (literally) where I can stave off close combat with Cawl's re-roll on overwatch. That is assuming I understand the FAQ properly.

The other things I'm not sure I'm doing right are the Warlord, and relics.

So I want my Warlord to be the Dominus so I can use the Cybernetica Specialist Detachment and use the Dominus as that Warlord without having to pay a CP for it. This is legal, correct?

Then I want to use a CP to create a Knight Warlord so I can give the Preceptor Sanctuary and my only Relic for... I guess Iron Bulwark. (this way I have a 4++ to ranged ,and a 5++ to CC.)

I'm not sure if this is going to work, but I want to flex the Knights a bit and my AdMech hasn't used Knights since I sold off the Castellan.

So far I'm not using Kastelans and am using the dual Helverins, a Preceptor, and a Warglaive to do that sort of heavy lifting. (I usually have Kastelans for the pew pew but they kind of get stuck in too easily and I can't seem to free them up.)

Do you guys think I have the gist of the rules for this list?
