Apocalypse D12

Anyone else loving the nuance of D12s in Apocalypse. I am hoping that people will love it , and GW will embrace the nuance that it would bring to the game that is currently lacking in 40k. Too many units aren’t differentiated enough as the game stands atm.

 

Maybe a 9th edition pipe dream.

It's great but most rolls are still done with 1d6 unfortunately.

I do hope that some of the ideas they have for kill team and apocalypse are ported to regular 40k.

Wound rolls and small blast saves are done with d12s, that's still a significant amount of rolls.

 

Hit rolls, morale (presumably), large blast saves are d6s; while that's more than the d12s, it's still a huge swing away from the 40k standard and could be very interesting.
