When I got the grand master edition last year I was dead set on Legio Astorum, painted one blue titan and decided against it! I always do good guys, so I've decided instead to do the baddest of the bad guys!

Sadly I painted all the knights from the box as loyalists, guess I'll just have to buy some more!

Finished up a reaver a little while back, just got round to taking photos. Changed the legion of my 'for scale' dudes too, they're now Sons of Horus. The Warmaster's legion and the Warmaster's legio!

Got 2 Warhounds assembled and waiting for primer too, just have to finish off their bases.

Gorgeous work. Where did you get the basing items by the way (not the marines, but the rest of it)? I'd like to do something similar with mine.

Looking at your Warlord again did make me think the World Eaters looked a little bit like they were guarding the Warlord, which amused me (I need to get out more).

it's just textured plasticard and stuff from my bits box, the reaver base is a couple of roofs from civitas imperialis buildings and a fuel tank from an imperial knight thermal cannon.  The lampposts are 0.8mm brass rod with a little bit of shaved down sprue for the lamp, the roads are 240grit sandpaper and the mud textures are done with baking soda.

World Eaters have gone completely now, got SoH on the warlord too, replaced the rhino with a Sicarian, will have to put a photo up at some point.

Thank you for sharing some of your basing recipe. The sandpaper road is a great idea.

Finished off the Warhounds this afternoon, pretty pleased with them :smile.: .

Weapons are all magnetised for easy loadout changes, though like everyone else they'll be Vulcan Megabolter / Plasma Blastgun most of the time.

And here's a shot of the maniple so far, I have another Warlord to assemble but I'd really like to pick up another Reaver so the melta/chainfist reaver kit will likely be the next thing I add, along with some fancy forgeworld weapons.
