BadgersinHills
The 3 dual cs dudes only add in 3 extra attacks in melee right? Why do that when 3 more storm bolters would be 12 shots pre combat. Or am I wrong? They would get extra 2 attacks each from the chainswords. I think Sturgaurd is right. WG + 2CS gets 4 attacks (excluding charge bonuses etc). WG + CS +SB gets 3 attacks but also up to 4 shots. Each chainsword only gives +1A. Misphrased my response and I think I misread sturguard's comment. I meant to say that each Wolf Guard would get 4 attacks. DanPesci
Id say in most cases you are better off with spending the 2 extra points to get SB/CS over CS/CS as charges arent guaranteed but the shooting phase is. But weight of attacks with the CS could translate better with the executioners strat (and rule of cool a squad of jump pack wolf guard dual wielding chainswords seem the perfect 'executioners' to me). 10x CS/CS = 190pts - 50 attacks when charging 10x CS/SB = 210 pts - 40 Shots/40 Attacks charging Closest comparison I can see to this is 10 barebones death company jumppack - which is 180pts, 10 shots when it arrives, and 50 attacks charging. 10x SS/SB = 230 pts - 40 Shots/30 Attacks charging/3++ inv Im constantly tweaking my JP squad at the moment, but am currently looking at 3x CS/SB 4x SS/SB 2x TH/SS 229pts = not cheap for 9 wounds, but fun! - 28 shots the turn it comes in, - 24 regular attacks and 6 thunder hammer attacks on the charge - Arjac and a wulfen stone nearby to blend Edited April 21, 2020 by DanPesci TiguriusX and Oshikai 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357064-shooty-jump-pack-wolf-guard/page/2/#findComment-5510293 Share on other sites
