Guest
I am a simpleton. I use the stirland mud, rocks i find around, valhallan blizzard and thats it. I have yet to find some decent shrubbery. PeteySödes
I use cork to give it lift and some rock strata. Hit with a ballast mix, some grass. Snow liberally and a dash of leaf scatter. For larger bases I’ll usually make a point of interest like a busted helm, skull, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357131-basing/#findComment-5346459 Share on other sites
sbarnby71
I've been using Runic bases made with the Rollers you get from Greenstuff World as I want my current units to be stalking through part of the old lodges (can't say temple as that would be heresy!) of Fenris: Also did a skull that I made from a cast from my girlfriend's chess set she has: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357131-basing/#findComment-5347149 Share on other sites
Cpt.Danjou
As I am lazy, I use Martian Ironcrust as my basing on run of the mill troopers, and maybe some fancy stuff on my characters and center.pieces. I keep away from icy and snowy bases as I still have found a good way to do snow or ice yet. It usually looks like perfectly whipped cream, which snow does not look like in war-zone in my opinion. Cpt.Danjou I had a similar issue with GWs snow, so what I do is apply it and whilst it is still wet, use some very thinned downed Nuln Oil to dot little patches into it to make it look more slushy, same goes for adding Agrax Earthshade. Oshikai
Going for an Urban/Cityfight Theme for mine. I tend to glue Sanding Paper over Cork for an Asphalt Street Effect or Structure Paste if I am going for broken concrete walls. When working with cork hiding the obious Cork Surface goes a long way in my oppinion. The Rest is Sand, Plastic Card, Etched Brass, Resin/Plastic Pieces and anything else I can find (Only Primed so far) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357131-basing/#findComment-5351274 Share on other sites
