Best melee Knight ?

Iconoclast Rampager Dreadblade with the sword relic, and depending on Aggressive tactics or no, either the +1 attack WT or the bonus +1 to advance, charge, and attacks in the enemy deployment WT, pay for vow of carnage for +1a for every 10 models you kill.

 

5a base, +1 for sword when it's used, +1 for the warlord trait, +1 for iconoclast rules when you charge.

Use titanic feet for 21 dice to kill your first 10, add 1 attack, now you've got 9 sword swings on the next thing you charge.

 

Dreadblade rolls give you perks.

 

Win win win

 

Conversely use the fist relic, re-rolls, 1 attack less but you get +1 every character or titanic unit you kill, so you can soon be back up to the same number of attacks as the sword.

The above is good, but always go with the Gauntlet over the sword relic, it's far superior.

 

Less obvious options for 'best' melee chassis would have to include the Lancer and Atrapos. It's hard to say how well these will work until we're sure how keywords will be adjusted, but both have an unholy powerful melee weapon, built in re-rolls, and a built in invulnerable save in melee.

 

The FAQ will tell us more about what we can do with them, but I'd expect the same restrictions to as apply as with Imperial Cerastus chassis's.

Agreeing on the Gauntlet. Tested it and it rips enemy knights to pieces, even bigger foes have problems + the extra attack on character kills and Titanic duel stratagem. The possible reroll on hit and wound is just broken. Remember you hit and wound on 2+ with that thing...
