Daemon Prince Marbas
Are there rules to play Luther's traitor faction of Dark Angels in 30k? I only ask because I love Fallen in 40k. Darkwrath121
The Dark Angels don't have rules until book 9, releasing within the next 6 months or so. This'll add the legion rules and unique units for Dark Angels, but they've said it will not focus on the Dark Angels with Luther on Caliban, since that stuff isn't even relevant til after the end of the Heresy. So while Luther and co might only get rules in a few years, there's nothing stopping you running Dark Angels with the traitor allegiance and playing them as Fallen :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357652-lutheran-forces/#findComment-5364911 Share on other sites
Ficinus
The only real trait might be that Calibanite Dark Angels were big fans of painting parts of their armour green. So, maybe use green for details, accent pieces, and/or shoulder pads? For my traitor Dark Angels, I do one shoulder pad and one kneepad in green, with both kneepads and weapon casing green in addition to that for veterans. battle captain corpus
Rules wise there’s nothing firm coming yet no. However there is absolutely nothing wrong with you beginning a collection now and going from there! As DarkWrath121 has mentioned you can just run them as traitors. The colour scheme and converting aspect etc will reinforce your look. And I’m sure if you went to any events (other than GW) and let them know in advance they may even let you participate as a traitor force? The main thing is that the 30k community is vast and forgiving especially when it comes to lovely forces themed around certain events. Keep us updated! Brother Styphus
I run Traitor DA, under Astelan though. They look and play exactly like loyalists. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357652-lutheran-forces/#findComment-5366003 Share on other sites
