Here is the initial stab at tokens/markers for the Kill Team game. The one thing holding me back right now is that I haven't figured out what graphic(s) to use for the various xenos Commander Aura tokens. The forces of the Imperium use a laurel; the forces of Chaos use a Chaos star stylized as a laurel. If I can't figure out a decent generic graphic to use for all xenos factions/sub-factions, I may have to come up with different graphics for each xenos faction/sub-faction (which will slow me down, but that's okay if it's for the best).

Normally I show a Commander Aura and Psychic Effect token, but lacking the Commander Aura graphic, here's the objective marker:

Necrons, Nephrekh Dynasty

There will be tokens/markers for the other dynasties. I'll probably post those soon.

Thoughts?

Agreed. There is no unified xenos icon, because they're a wildcard faction with no unified army (unless you count an army controlled by mindshackle scarabs). Unless you think it's absolutely necessary I'd just go with individual xeno army markers.

That objective marker does look nice. Will there be a 'necron' one, as opposed to dynastic ones (for those of us with custom dynasties).

I'm confused what makes that the Nephrekh ankh, the symbol pictured in BroT's post is the generic mark of the Triarch that every Necron (mostly anyway) has on their chest.

I'll poke around some books for a general symbol later when I'm home from work.

I thought that was the general Necron symbol. The only thing I did was use different colors for the different dynasties. My plan was to make additional tokens with dynasty-specific icons later (each using the appropriate colors).
Ah. Yes, that is the generic necron symbol (the ankh of the Triarch) The generic one is just that with the same green you see everywhere, but diff dynasties have colors other than green (like yellow-ish for Nephrek) so I was confused. I think here it was color/name that threw me off.

:laugh.: There's going to be a lot of green.

It may be worth it to not bother colourizing the standard ankh and leave it as a general catch-all for Necrons. For what it's worth, here's the symbols for the Codex Dynasties represented via Code rules:

EDIT 2784: I am simply not allowed to share these Xenos pictures. B&C just doesn't want it. Google "Warhammer 40k Index Xenos Symbol" and you will find what you seek I think.

The Necron tokens are different from those of the other factions in that the commander aura tokens all (mostly) feature the green Necron symbol, but the icons on the other tokens are in colors matching the schemes of the various dynasties. I'll post some examples of those soon. In the meantime, here is what happened last night:

I tried faction-themed commander aura images for a few of the xenos factions, but I wasn't satisfied with any of them. I decided to just use the same laurel that I used for the various Imperium factions. I'll post images showing the thematic schemes of the various dynasties later (today?).

Some of the images above are open for revision, depending on feedback.
