recon0321
What does everyone think of using the Raptor Imperialist as a chapter badge in 40k? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/357819-raptor-imperialis-use/ Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
The Raptor Imperialis (no T on the end) was originally the icon of the Thunder Warriors and the Unification Wars on Terra and eventually replaced by the Imperial Aquila. It would later be used towards the end of the Great Crusade as a badge of honor for marines who fought alongside the Emperor. It's not seen much at all in modern 40k, but it's your army and you can do whatever you want with it. Brother Tyler
It's within the realm of the possible that the first Chapter Master of a later founding Chapter may have combined a raptor's head and lightning bolts in a way that his new Chapter's badge bears a strong resemblance to the raptor imperialis.
