Primaris Lieutenant still can't take iron halo

See the title. I had expected them to be able to do so on account of this guy,

but this seems not to be the case?

EDIT: Iron halos aren't even gear characters can take in general, its just something captains typically have, just like chaplains have rosariuses (rosarii?). I guess the one the Lieutenant above has is just decorative then?

Yes, all captains in the codex, with the exception of the Cataphractii one, are listed as having iron halos and its reflected on their models (in the case of Primaris anyway, as they're specific kits) (also assuming the crest on the birthday captain is an iron halo). With Primaris Leutenants, only the above model has one, but it's not something that's reflected in his rules at all.

I'm pretty sure that model is a Captain that was painted as a Lieutenant to keep the injoke going. The Legionaire apron is more of a captain thing.

His belt and right pauldron are sculpted with the "Lieutenant symbol" (skull with a halo around it, ironically). He doesn't have have the chest ropes (neither does the Gravis captain to be fair), he doesn't have a cape. He's pretty low on decorations in general (there's more blinged out Lieutenants out there) and none of the Primaris captains has had a Legionaire apron. :P

Indeed, I painted one just a few weeks ago. My point is they typically add the items to the rules if one of their special event or birthday models has something not available in said rules, except the new codex does not list iron halo as an option for Lieutenants even now, despite Amulius here.

That model is officially called "Lieutenant Amulius". I just bought him on eBay for $60.

Bought one myself from someone emptying out their pile of shame along with the sprues for Blackstone Fortress.

Personally I want to use him as an Emperor's Champion since he has the right sort of feelnfor the role (though the sword will need replacing to be 100% correct).
