I figured this would be best in here, as they're successors to the Scars, albeit via the Marauders. Which tactics do you all feel fits them? And if faced with using the successors chapter tactics, which ones fit?

I think Tactical Withdrawal is very fitting, considering the background for the Badab War using hit and run tactics. What of the other tactics?

I would say that "Master Artisans" would fit, as don't they maintain their own wargear and make enhancements to it themselves?

Also, "Stealthy" would probably be a good choice.  Or perhaps "Whirlwind of Rage" to account for their "Battle-Haze" gene-seed defect.

It is mentioned in IA 10 that:

"Perhaps because of this history of shortage each Mantis Warrior maintains their wargear with a singular reverence, beyond even the high degree that is displayed by most Space Marines. Within the Chapter individual weapons and suits of power armour are handed down from generation to generation of Space Marines. Every custodian will in turn add their own embellishments, to the extent that each bolter and chainsword is a treasured and storied relic in its own right."

Or perhaps "Whirlwind of Rage" to account for their "Battle-Haze" gene-seed defect.

The "Battle-Haze" only affects select individuals/units so Whirlwind of Rage wouldn't really fit as an army-wide rule.
