Just a quick check, I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

 

Infiltrator Comms Array: This references *Phobos Captains* and *Rites of Battle*

 

Chapter Master stratagem: Turn a Captain into a Chapter Master if there are other Chapter Masters in your army.

 

Thesis: Turn a Phobos Captain into a Chapter Master, and his lads refuse to pick up the phone (the ICA no longer works on him), since he no longer possesses Rites of Battle.

Not a SM player so don’t have the dex....but Why does he lose rites of battle?

 

Is that stated in the strat? Or do you replace the data sheet with a separate one? If the later then the captain would also lose the Phobos armour

The Strategem replaces the Rites of Battle rule with the Chapter Master rule. Everything else on the datasheet remains the same.

 

RAW: No, the Comms Array would no longer work.

Sounds like it's working as intended when you lose RoB for CM. I feel there's a game balance issue when you start rerolling everything regardless of bubble aura distance.
