Sisters in Psychic Awakening

We are getting more rules in PA than we did from the Kill Team release. Any speculation as to what that might entail?

Generic Living Saints for all the Orders to help combat all the unsanctioned Psykers?

Grail Reliquae type thingie carting Saint bones around to combat the filthy witchkin?

Ideas? Curious but mostly asking because the BSB and Nova preview were underwhelming and look to continue to be so.

Hopefully the next one gives a hint about Repressors. If they go the way of the missing two Primarchs there isn't much hope of competing after SM2.0

we are getting a codex release during PA, not sure if we'll get anything extra for a while tbh. That said I'm still thinking our release might be staged over a number of waves, so far all we've seen is replacements for older models, nothing new, and I'm sure GW will have something to sell to those of us with enough battle sisters, seraphim and penititent engines already.

Chaos Space Marines got a campaign book and a codex at the same time.

The PA release says it will have rules for Sisters in it. So its outside of the Codex/Plastics release in November. What do you think the specific Sisters rules/models/otherwise that would be?

The pessimist in me says new, nerfed rules for the condemner bolter and nothing else.

What would be rockin' would be to use Shield of Faith saves vs moral wounds.  I don't see that happening tho.

I expect it to be some Inquisition models with ministorum keywords.

How can you nerf a condemorboltgun?? It’s a bolt gun that does D3 damage to pyskers... giving it a flat damage of 2 is better!

Statistically speaking it's a stormbolter that loses half it's shots against non-psyker targets. It really is a terrible gun in every way.

I’ve modelled up exactly one sister superior with a condemnor. The poor girl only ever makes it off the shelf if I’m one point off the game value and she fills in for one of my Storm bolter superiors.

Maybe we’ll get a ‘mace or the Emperor’ act of faith power with a fancy pants plastic template that’ll play like the old ‘Foot of Gork’ psychic power?

From a fluff perspective, the dex will continue to make the most of the sisterhood's connection with the Eclessiarchy. The PA content, conversely, will focus on their role as the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Hereticus, which will arguably be the most critical of the three Ordos, given the nature of the campaign.

Maybe stuff from the witch hunters dex, like psyocculum, excrutiators, psi-bolts, hexagramatic wards, etc.

Perhaps a specialized character who is anti-psyker. She could be named, but better yet, a second generic HQ.

A psi-turret option for the immolator?

Anti psyker missiles for the exorcist? (doesn't even need a model- just rules (even as a strat))

On a side note, I wonder how the fluff of each Order will reflect relationships; will some orders be preferred by or synergize best with the Inquisition while others make better partners with the Eclessiarchy? That would be cool, but might also risk invalidating a particular player's preferred build.

What I would do if I were GW (but I'm quite sure they'll don't do) is to make a special version of the Penitent Engine piloted by a lobotomized witch instead of a "simple" heretic. I would have equipped it with force weapons instead of the buzzsaw blades and with psi-flamers. Also I would made it capable of denying the witch but not to cast powers.
