jonjacob
If a unit rolls a 6 to hit and wound is automatic. How is paragon of war resolved?
Panzer
How about some context? What Codex? What do these rules do?
Interrogator-Chaplain Ezra
Codex Space Marines: Gene-wrought Might: 1 CP, Primaris unit in the Fight phase, an unmodded 6 to hit is an auto hit and auto wound. Ultramarines book: Paragon of War warlord trait: a 6 to wound adds a Mortal wound in addition to normal damage. EDIT: misread FAQ Edited September 4, 2019 by Interrogator-Chaplain Ezra
casb1965
Reading the RAW I'd argue as gene-wrought might bypasses the wound roll you haven't rolled a 6 to wound so Paragon of War doesn't come in to effect . Panzer 1 Back to top
jonjacob
Thats what I thought initally but could you could test for 6+ too mortal wound given its additional damage.
Noctus Cornix
Gene-wrought might says it's an auto wound, not your wound rolls hit as though they were 6's. Far as you ask me, gene-wrought might would make it impossible to get any potential mortal wounds from those hit rolls of 6. Panzer
Appreciated. RAW they don't stack. If you auto-wound you can't roll a 6 to trigger Paragon of War since you skip the whole dice rolling process. jonjacob and Noctus Cornix 2 Back to top
casb1965
Codex Space Marines: Gene-wrought Might: 1 CP, Primaris unit in the Fight phase, an unmodded 6 to hit is an auto hit and auto wound. Ultramarines book: Paragon of War warlord trait: a 6 to wound adds a Mortal wound in addition to normal damage. EDIT: misread FAQ Say you're 3+ to hit Roll to hit: any 3s,4s,5s = hit, 6s = hit and wound - Gene-wrought might Now say you're 4+ to wound Roll to wound: any 3s,4s or 5s to hit roll any 4s or 5s = wound any 6's wound + a mortal wound. - Paragon of War
