Chosen question

With chosen being able to take a close combat upgrade, could I run say...10 chosen with thunderhammers or 10 chosen with lighting claws?

 

(World Eaters BTW...thinking about 5 attacks each on the charge with lighting claws, 6 for the champ, with 2 base, +1 for lightning claws, +1 for hateful space marine charge thing, +1 for World Eaters)

I sometimes run 8 to 10 Chosen with fists in a Rhino. It's quite fun.

 

Although they underperform when compared to the squad or squads of 8 Zerkers in a Rhino I run alongside them.

Remember that they can have a bunch of special weapons as well.

I was on the verge of building 10 or so Chosen with hammers, and that is a super cool idea, but still seems like other units are a better source of S8 attacks. Combi-bolters no matter what, though.

How many units? If it's just one you will need better than a rhino as a transport. I think you would be better off with 10 with chain axes, plasma pistols and 2-3 power fist.

I just think it would be funny to have 10 jacked guys falling out of a rhino (with Zerker squads falling out of their rhinos) and everything (yes even the rhinos) charge.

 

10 guys with lightning claws would be a lot of attacks.
