_Valten_ Posted September 14, 2019 Share Posted September 14, 2019 With the Eliminators finally going on preorder, I’ve been thinking about the best loadout for a sniping-based squad. I run an Ultramarine Successor with Bolter Fusilade, and in planning on using the Bolt Sniper Rifles. My question is what is the best loadout for the Sergeant? The Bolt Sniper Rifle is cheapest, but the Carbine allows him to move the squad in case they get charged. Also, Is it better to use the Sergeant to give the other two +1 to hit and wound in every situation? mel_danes Posted September 14, 2019 Share Posted September 14, 2019 My experience thus far has been deploy high up, to prevent charges. Also if you're not putting them right in the enemies face they will not charge them. My typical match has them causing my opponent to hide his characters, or keep them out of range. After a couple turns of picking wounds off minor buff characters, I've lost some heavy hitters on my side and the opponent throws serious fire into these guys. 3 models in cover can be tough to root out, unless Omni-spex snipers. +1 to hit and wound is nice, I'm not sold on all the time though.
